Fields of research
The Institute of Economics does research and analysis in many fields of economics and the public sphere. From the labor market and social policies, through the real estate market to entrepreneurship and innovation, the range is wide.
One of the longest-running series of studies is the ‘Barometer of economic sentiment in the Podkarpackie Province.’ This study has been done every quarter since March 2001. Based on widely-accepted methodology, doing this study over the long-term allows us to:
- Observe the intermediate-term fluctuations of growth trends,
- Enhance the intermediate and long-term prognoses formulated upon quantitative data, supported by qualitative data,
- Create a qualitative basis for regional policy recommendations.
With this research the IE defines issues that are useful for public policymakers and it provides independent analysis of public opinion for business managers in specific fields of the economy.
